This beginner-friendly session is designed to introduce you to the basics of Python, followed by a practical, hands-on activity that will help you apply what you've learned.

What You'll Learn

  • Python Types: Understand the different types in Python (booleans, strings, integers, and floats) and how they come together in list structures.
  • Basic Operations: Learn essential operations to handle data and manipulate different types.
  • Conditionals and Loops: Discover how to use conditionals and loops to control data flow and perform basic data analysis.
  • String Manipulation: Practice modifying and analyzing string data using Python.

Our Speaker

Skilled Data Analyst with 6 years of experience in the UK Renewable Energy and Financial Services industries. Proficient in SQL database design and development, data pipeline creation, and advanced Python programming, including machine learning and AI (primarily, computer vision). Demonstrated expertise in data visualization with Tableau and PowerBI for commercial finance reporting. Passionate about using data as a fuel for smarter decisions and helping companies drive performance through actionable insights. Currently working towards my Apache Spark certification.
